Data controller

The controller is José Cobos (ceramic art studio), reachable at info@josecobos.art. The studio operates between Cuenca (Ecuador) and Jingdezhen (China).

Data we collect

Contact data you send through the contact form or by email: name, email address and your message or inquiry.

Account data, if you create one: name, email and a password (stored encrypted, never in plain text).

Order or commission data: the description of the piece or service you request.

Basic technical data generated by the servers (IP address, browser type) for security and operation.

How we use the data

To answer your inquiries and manage commissions or artwork acquisitions.

To create and manage your account and grant access to assigned courses or materials.

To keep the site secure and improve how it works.

Legal basis

We process your data based on your consent, on the relationship you request (answering an inquiry, handling a commission or your account) and on our legitimate interest in running the site securely.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. It is only shared with the providers that run the site: web hosting (Vercel), database (Neon) and image/file storage (Cloudinary).

We may disclose information where the law requires it.

Retention

We keep data while your account exists or while needed to handle your inquiry or commission, and afterwards for the period required by law.

Your rights

You may request to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your data by writing to info@josecobos.art. You can also change your password or ask us to close your account.

Security and minors

We apply reasonable measures (encrypted passwords, secure HTTPS connection). The site is not directed to minors and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy; the current version and its date will be posted here.
